  16. <p>     Customs: Passports are required, but visas are not required
  17. for stays up to 30 days. Inquire at the British Embassy or
  18. nearest consulate for specific requirements.
  19. </p>
  20. <p>     Climate and clothing: Lightweight casual clothing is worn
  21. year round. Cyclone season is January through April.
  22. </p>
  23. <p>     Telecommunications: There are two AM radio stations and 3,000
  24. telephones. Vanuatu is 11 hours ahead of Greenwich mean time (12
  25. during daylight savings time).
  26. </p>
  27. <p>     Transportation: Vanuatu has 1,027 kilometers (616 mi.) of
  28. highways and three minor ports (Port Vila, Luganville,
  29. Palikoulo). Visitors sailing to any of the islands must obtain
  30. permission in Port Vila. Flights are scheduled from New Zealand,
  31. Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Singapore. Schedules fluctuate;
  32. check with a travel agent for the most current flights.
